As I've mentioned, RBF isn't all about the face. It is about changing the language used to describe mostly women living authentically and not appeasing societal norms and the expectation to be performative. It's taking the phrase "Fake it 'til you make it" and telling it to go fuck off.
And most importantly, I believe the RBF is truly about someone that embraces their good and difficult moments, breaks the cycles for the women who follow us, challenges the societal norms on appearance, and refuses to appease the patriarchy, while allowing themselves and those around them to express their emotions while dismissing and re-educating about toxic positivity.
The RBF is about the embodiment of learning, change, growth, and acceptance of our experiences and journeys. It's about authentically and empathetically showing up for yourself and for others.
Who does this make you think of?
